Have you made the effort though…©

“I’ve been so busy” “I’ve been so bad with communicating lately” “I haven’t had my phone with me much” – but yet when our crush/bae/eye-candy texts or calls us we are quick to reply and pick up, no hesitation or thought about it *shades down and sips tea*.

I’m pretty sure you’re guilty some way, some how? I’m sure we all are in some aspects (you don’t have to answer, it’s okay, I know). This is something that needs to be changed. Imagine we have people who are contacting us to look out, check up on us, who genuinely care when they contact but we can dismiss that with the mindset of “oh it doesn’t matter, they’ll always be there” “this is a pointless conversation so I can’t be bothered to reply”.

But just take a second, and think of things from a different perspective. This could be a close friend who you may not have spoken to in ages. How do you know they aren’t going through things and may need a release by talking to you? You could be the one to encourage a friend by simply checking up on them and see how they’re doing, rather than taking the backseat.

It’s so so important to maintain healthy communication between those closest to you, even if you do not speak frequently, whether you’re busy, tied up or half way across the world. At the end of the day “we always make the time for things that are important to us” – so there’s no excuse bro…no excuse.

Don’t let things get to the point where all point of contact with a close friend fizzles into complete thin air and you sit there reminiscing about the old times when you could tell each anything and everything but because the communication was poor…you know where I’m heading at…

1 Thessalonians 5:11 – ‘Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing’. If you don’t, at some point in time you’ll regret it.
Especially if God has blessed you with someone who could potentially be a divine helper but due to “pride” or “lack of time”, there’s a big disruption in terms of communication.

On this note, I’ll leave to think about it.

Hopefully you can make an active change
